Elected and high-level appointed leaders in local government are invited to attend Smart Growth America’s 2014 Local Leaders Policy Forum on June 15-16, 2014, in Washington, DC.

The Policy Forum will provide a unique opportunity to meet fellow leaders from around the country who are using smart growth strategies to help their communities compete and grow in today’s economy, to provide housing and transportation choices for residents and to create great places to live, work and play. Attend the Forum to:

• Learn from leading experts on topics such as economic development, transportation, sustainability, and more.
• Share your successes and challenges with like-minded colleagues.
• Participate in interactive seminars on policy development and implementation.
• Network with other top leaders from diverse communities with experience building local smart growth initiatives from the ground up.

The Forum will feature an opening reception on Sunday, June 15 followed by a full day of speakers and interactive policy sessions on Monday, June 16. Forum participants will also have an opportunity to meet and network with smart growth real estate developers and investors on the evening of the 16th as part of the 2014 LOCUS Leadership Summit.

Registration for the Forum closes on May 1, 2014, and space is limited so register early.

Members of Smart Growth America’s Local Leaders Council enjoy complimentary registration to the Policy Forum. In addition, Smart Growth America is fortunate to have a very limited travel fund for members who cannot attend without some assistance.
