Due to increasing demand for its Complete Streets Implementation Workshop series, the National Complete Streets Coalition, in cooperation with the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals, will train 6 to 8 nationally recognized professionals to co-instruct these workshops. These policy-oriented workshops help agencies fast track making their streets more complete. They help jurisdictions develop the political will to change policies and practices to balance the needs of all users; and create, adopt and implement effective policies.
Successful applicants will learn how to conduct Complete Streets Implementation Workshops via webinars, participatory learning in an actual workshop with experienced instructors, and apprenticeship. The cost to become an instructor trainee is $2,000 plus travel, lodging, and meal expenses in conjunction with the participatory learning workshop. Trainees will be paid as full instructors during their apprenticeship, earning back the instruction fee in as little as one workshop.
