walk up wake up dc Earlier this summer we released Foot Traffic Ahead: 2016, a scan of walkable development trends in the thirty largest U.S. metropolitan areas. The report found that across the country, walkable urban places are driving the real estate industry—and Washington, DC is leading the way.

This fall, get an even closer look at DC’s walkable development.

Join Smart Growth America, Urban Land Institute-Washington, and the Center for Real Estate and Urban Analysis at the George Washington School of Business for the fourth annual Walkable Urban Real Estate Conference on September 21, 2016 in Washington, DC.

Our experts will reveal new findings from 2016’s DC: WalkUp Wake Up Call, the first 100 percent census of all real estate in the region. This new and updated research by SGA and the Center for Real Estate and Urban Analysis at the George Washington School of Business will show where the vast majority of current real estate development in DC is occurring, as well as the economic (real estate valuations and fiscal impact) and social equity (housing and transportation costs) performance of walkable real estate development.
