Thank you to everyone who joined LOCUS for a live discussion of Financing for Projects that Don’t Pencil Out on Tuesday, November 7, 2017.

Bob Stevens, principal for M&S Development, presented several creative financing techniques available to communities and economies hoping to fill project funding gaps. These included:

  • Community enabled development initiatives that utilize the purchasing power of local stakeholders to make philanthropic equity investments in community improvement projects.
  • Alternative lending schemes that garner funding from foundations, community members, federal loan programs, and foreign investors.
  • Tenant financed housing that taps older citizens of higher equity and their demand for wellness, community, and aging in authentic urban places to support project development.

In case you missed the live event, you can watch the recorded version below:

Check out our blog for other recorded LOCUS webinars. Topics include development opportunities in cities across the country and transit-oriented development and general project financing.
