Stormwater Management: Low Impact Development Policy Toolkit

Wherever there is pavement, there is stormwater runoff, which can cause serious pollution and flooding. However, a low impact development will not only reduce the impacts but it can seriously beautify a project while raising its market value.

Smart Growth America’s Local Leaders Council developed a series of policy toolkits to guide municipal leaders who want to implement smart growth strategies in their towns, cities, and communities. The Stormwater Management: Low Impact Development toolkit includes a policy primer, case study, and model policy.
