Redefining America’s Transportation Landscape
Transportation for America is an advocacy organization made up of local, regional, and state leaders who envision a transportation system that safely, affordably, and conveniently connects people of all means and abilities to jobs, services, and opportunities through multiple modes of travel.
Who is it for?
T4 America is the largest, most diverse coalition working on transportation reform today. The coalition unites changemakers of all types who share a bold new vision — to create a safer, cleaner, smarter transportation system that guarantees our freedom to move however we choose and leads to a stronger economy, greater energy security, cleaner environment and healthier America for all of us.
What does it solve?
The Transportation for America program targets ineffective policies, champions accountability, and insists on tangible results. This is done through advocate work that supports smart spending to fix infrastructure, make travel safer, and connect people to opportunity.
A New Plan for Infrastructure
We are spending more than $50 billion in federal tax dollars every year, which fails to bring us equivalent returns. The more we spend, the more congestion, emissions, and pedestrian fatalities seem to rise, all while failing to address our most basic need: getting people where they need to go safely and efficiently.
We need a plan beyond “spend more money”. Enough with purposeless billions.
Transportation For America Coalition
Transportation for America is a coalition of local to state-level leaders committed to overhauling America’s rudderless transportation program. We are rallying stakeholders — from Congress to the commuter — to redefine what success looks like in transportation. Find out more about our affiliate.
